Does anyone know of any uncertified/noncertified school loans? These are loans that don't have to be certified by your university. My family and I are in desperate need of a vehicle, and I honestly planned on using an uncertified loan to buy a vehicle. I've already talked to my financial aid office and they told me that I couldn't take out anymore money. My family's only income is my mom's SSI (she's permanently disabled), so we cannot afford a vehicle on this income. We receive public assistance, and if anyone in the house is working they take away some of the federal money because they figure that whatever money comes into the house can replace the federal money that was being provided to us. Uh, no.....not true; any money that I bring into the house wouldn't be enough to replace the money from the assistance programs. Because I can't drive, I would only be able to walk to a local grocery store where I would only be making minimum wage. Ideally, I'd like to be able to drive so I can't a job in one of my fields of study (psychology and criminal justice).
